DONATE YOUR BOOKS

Dear Friends,

Putera MIC have launched a book donation drive to help upgrade libraries in Tamil schools and promote the reading habit among the students. Infact we have also decided to help other primary schools who would like to have the libraries upgraded with more books (irrespective if its a National Type, Chinese School or even a Religous School) - All we want to do is to help.

Our plan is to collect the books and then begining of next year, just before the new school term begins we would be giving it to the primary schools.

We had a simple launch at the MIC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur a few days back and we are thankfull to our friends in the Media for attending and highlighting our project in both the print and electronic media.

I would like to appeal to you to donate unused primary school books and other relevant reading materials to the respective MIC Putera centres throughout the country. The book drive will end in December.

This book donation drive is part of our campaign to instill the reading campaigns to generate interest in reading among school children. The only way for this campaign can be succesfull - IS WITH YOUR HELP.

Your support would also determine whether we should organise a similar campaign next year.

MY VIEWS..... Please dont give us your money - you can use it. Just give us the books that you have read at home and share your knowledge to the younger generation.
